New details about Lucy-Bleu Knight's death have emerged.
One month after her stepfather Slash—who shares Lucy-Bleu with his girlfriend of nine years, Meegan Hodges—announced her passing, the L.A. County's Department of Medical Examiner confirmed she died by suicide.
The 25-year-old was found unresponsive July 19 by law enforcement, who were conducting a welfare check at a private residence, per the Aug. 29 press release. She was pronounced dead at 3:00 p.m.
In late July, the Guns n' Roses guitarist shared the heartbreaking update on his Instagram.
"Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998)," Slash (real name Saul Hudson) wrote at the time. "Beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson passed peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024."
The statement continued, "Lucy-Bleu was a talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul."
In a follow-up post, the musician reflected on her passing and his relationship with his stepdaughter.
"My heart is permanently fractured," he shared alongside a photo of Lucy-Bleu. "I will never ever stop missing you & remembering what a beacon of happiness, laughter, creativity & beauty you have always been. & still are. The brightest light in the lives of so many that loved you so much. I find solace in the hope that you are at peace now. I will love you eternally."
Lucy Bleu's mother Meegan has continued to comment messages to her daughter under the post amid her grief journey.
"Today was really hard," she wrote. "I believe you are at peace. I'm just selfish because I really wish you were here with me. I just want to hold you and tell you how much I love you."
"God I can't stand how much I miss you," she most recently shared. "I want to hold you. Get cozy and rub your back and play with your hair. I want to do light tickles on your arm and tell you that I got you. That I love you with every ounce."
