New McDonald's meal drops today: The 'As Featured In Meal' highlights 'Loki' Season 2

In what the fast food giant is calling "a front-row seat to a new experience," McDonald's dropped a new meal which highlights iconic McDonald's menu items featured in film, TV, and music over the years.
Starting Monday, the "As Featured In Meal" is now available in more than 100 countries also co-stars exclusive merchandise and "never-before-seen content," McDonald's said.
The new meal comes as the chain promotes its collaboration with the second season of Marvel Studios' "Loki," due to premier on Disney+ on Oct. 6.
The meal includes a medium soft drink, a medium order of fries and the customer's choose of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, or Big Mac. It also includes McDonald’s Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce.
McDonald's has not said how it will feature its food in the upcoming Marvel production, but a photo in its announcement hinted the sauce may be part of its role in “Loki."
"Whether you enjoyed watching George Costanza’s date proclaim, 'I haven’t had a Big Mac in a long time,' on 'Seinfeld' from Warner Bros. Discovery, are 'exceedingly fond of McNuggets of chicken' like in the film 'I’m Not Rappaport' from Universal Pictures, or a preview of the upcoming season of Marvel Studios’ 'Loki,' you can get a front-row seat to the As Featured In Meal this summer," McDonald's said.

In addition, when customers scan the new Sweet ‘N Sour Sauce lid on Snapchat, they get access to "custom content developed by Marvel Studios exclusively for McDonald’s fans" with new content available weekly throughout the promo, McDonalds announced in a press release.
The meal is the latest installment in McD's "Famous Order" series. In the past, the chain has partnered with several major celebrities including Cardi B and her rapper husband Offset to launch their meals as special promo items.
"It's not only our real-life fans who have a go-to order, for decades our favorite movie and TV characters have, too," Morgan Flatley, McDonald's global chief marketing officer and head of new business ventures, said in a statement. "The As Featured In Meal is our biggest Famous Order yet, celebrating the most memorable McDonald's references across the world of entertainment."
McDonald's also said it partnered with streetwear brand PALACE to create custom merchandise for the promo. Customers who buy the new meal can scan a QR code on the packaging to give them access to the new merch line.
The meal is available at participating restaurants around the world while supplies last.

The new meal comes on the heels of McDonald's introducing a new McFlurry flavor last week.
The Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry debuted Aug. 9 at participating locations nationwide. The treat is made with vanilla soft serve and blended with crispy cereal mix and chunks of chocolatey peanut butter cookie.
The desert has 510 calories for a regular size and is available while supplies last, McDonald's said.
